Compatible Control4 Systems

• You must have a Control4 system with OS 2.10.x, 3.x, X4.0 to use this driver.
• Note: 2.10.x does not support Control4’s lighting extras or advanced lighting scenes.

The driver is available on DriverCentral. You must be a Control4 Integrator to install and set it up.

1. Confirm the Hub2 is paired to the correct Homegroup.
   • You must be a Homegroup Owner or Homegroup Manager to complete setup.
2. Enable Local Commands on the Hub2.
   • In the Gemstone Lights app, open Device Settings.
   • Scroll to Advanced Settings and expand it.
   • Turn on Allow Local Commands.
3. Add the driver to the Control4 project using SDDP discovery.
   • In Composer, add the Gemstone Lights driver to the project.
   • Remove the driver from the project.
     • This keeps the driver file on the controller, but removes duplicate entries in the project.
   • In the top-right of Composer, under Items, select the Discovered tab.
   • Double-click the device with Manufacturer: Gemstone Lights.
     1. Composer will add the driver back to the project and auto-fill the IP address.
   • If the controller does not appear:
     1. Wait for the next SDDP broadcast (every 5 minutes), or
     2. Trigger discovery manually via Device Settings Advanced Settings Control4 Identify.

Note: Gemstone Lights devices should have a MAC address beginning with 90:F4:21:0.

How to Use

• Play a Pattern: Long press the light bulb icon → select Lighting Extras. Patterns are organized by categories (e.g. Awareness, Holidays). You then choose a Folder and finally a specific pattern.
• Edit Default Colors: To edit default colors, in Composer, go to Agents > Color > Add Preset.
