Bluetooth Connection (Not Recommended)

How to Connect Over Bluetooth:

  1. Ensure you are as close as possible to the Gemstone Lights Control Box.
  2. Tap + > Bluetooth Connect.
  3. Any Gemstone Hub2 controllers within Bluetooth range will appear with their associated serial numbers. You can find these serial numbers below the QR code on the controller itself and on the connection sticker. Please select the serial number that matches your Hub2 controller to connect. Alternatively, if you’re unsure of the serial number, move as close as possible to the Gemstone Lights control box and select the option with the highest signal strength.
  4. You will now be able to control the system.

Bluetooth Limitations:

  1. This connection operates locally. For optimal performance, please stay within 15 feet of the Control Box, ensuring there are no obstructions, as stepping outside this range may cause disconnection.
  2. Firmware updates require a WiFi connection. If this controller will be used primarily over Bluetooth, be sure to connect it to a remote hotspot or external WiFi to complete all updates before installation.
  3. Bluetooth controllers cannot be grouped and must be used individually.
  4. Only one device can connect to the Hub2 over Bluetooth at a time. If one family member is connected to the controller and another tries to connect simultaneously, the new connection attempt will not be successful.
