FAQ

No. There are no exclusive territories in our dealer program.

We require our dealers that will be installing the Track Light system to either be an electrician or have an electrician on staff. We do not require you to be an electrician to sell and install any of our other products.

As long as you meet the requirements to be an Authorized Dealer and are willing to purchase the minimum inventory stock which is around $10-15k then you simply need to complete one job, have it approved and then you will be authorized to sell and install to the public.

Yes. Our dealers must carry a minimum of 2 million liability insurance that must cover any damages that may occur while installing our products.

Yes. All of our products carry an ETL certification that approves them to be installed in both Canada and the United States. 

Yes. All dealers have the opportunity to earn a place on our website. After the dealer has met specific performance targets, they will be displayed on our website for customers to choose based on a simple ranking system.

Every new dealer will get access to our online portal which includes access to training videos and marketing resources along with our online store where they will purchase products. Every new dealer is required to complete one job and have it approved by a Gemstone Lights rep before being authorized to sell and install it to the public. This same Gemstone Lights rep will work very closely with the dealer on the first job and any others that come down the pipe for the dealer. The dealer will also get support from a marketing coordinator to provide effective strategies on promoting Gemstone Lights across all social media and online platforms. 

Yes. We do not charge anyone to become an authorized dealer. However, we require our new dealers to purchase a minimum amount of inventory of roughly $10-15k and the material associated with the first install. This inventory includes lights, controllers, power kits, extensions, wire and a few other accessories that prepare you to be ready to install your first 5-6 average-sized homes. It does not include track.

We provide a 5-year product warranty on all our products. If a dealer has a defective product, a warranty return form is completed and the device is sent back to our facility. Once we have received the product we test it and confirm the deficiency. Once we determine that the device is defective, we send the dealer a new replacement of that device.
