Custom Design

Hub2 · Updated
    1. From the Home screen, tap on your device.
    2. Tap Create > Custom Designs to open the Custom Designer.
    3. Here you’ll see any zones you’ve already set up. If none exist, you’ll need to create at least one zone to best utilize the pattern in zone feature. Tap Zone Manager > + to start.
    4. Your lights will display a sequence of 5 Red, 5 Green, 5 Blue, and 5 White. This makes it easy to see where each light is. Tap on a light in the app and the matching light on your house will flash white. You can also tap and hold, then drag to select multiple lights at once.
    5. Once your lights are selected, give the zone a name and pick an icon (for example, “Lower”).
    6. Tap the Back Arrow in the top-left to return to the Custom Designer.
    7. Repeat the process to create additional zones. For example, you might have Upper and Lower zones for different rooflines.
    8. Now the fun begins—you can assign different patterns or colors to each zone. Start by tapping the Lower zone.
    9. Choose either:
      • Colors: Select a color and tap lights to apply it, or
      • Patterns: Pick a pre-set pattern. For example, apply Accent WW with a “2 on, 2 off” sequence.
    10. Tap Preview anytime to see how your Custom Design looks on your home.
    11. Next, select the Upper zone and assign a pattern. For example, try a festive option like Holly & Berry Jingle.
    12. Note: You can run up to 4 zones with patterns at the same time. If you select all lights, some may appear greyed out—this means a pattern is already assigned to them. You can still apply colors to lights that are not greyed out.
    13. Use the Select Tool (top of the screen) for advanced options:
      • Select All: Highlights every light.
      • Repeat: Duplicates a chosen selection across the system.
      • Similar: Selects all lights that match the one you tapped.
      • Clear: Removes all current selections.
Once you’re happy with your Custom Design, give it a name and save it. You’ll find it listed in your Custom Designs folder for future use.
