Our Customers’ Favorite New Features

With the new Hub2, you will use a whole new app interface to control your smart LED lights in the Gemstone Lights App. As with our original app, you can still download thousands of premade patterns, set timers, connect the light to your smart home system, and individually customize each light. Plus, we’ve introduced even more customization options for your lights—check out some of the biggest updates that we (and our customers) love!

Autopilot

Autopilot is one of our new features that allows you to set it and forget it for seasonal lighting. All you have to do is subscribe to holiday events and let the lights control themselves.

Imagine a festive lineup of Christmas lights that twinkle throughout December and a variety of spooky patterns alternating on a

 Halloween night—all without you needing to do a thing!

With an effortless setup, you can choose the season and the animation setting you prefer and your lights will automatically display a variety of our favorite patterns, all season long.

Music Integration

Have you ever wanted your lights to dance to the beat of music? With our specialized music integration patterns, you can have your phone listen to your music and sync the lights to the rhythm. 

Simply choose a music sync pattern, keep the app screen on, and play a song on an external speaker. Your phone will pick up the sound, and your lights will move in sync with the beat.

Color Control

Choose from over 16 million different colors and set the mood for year-round lighting, holiday lighting, and architectural lighting. You can customize your color, name it, and save it to use again and again.

Our new app offers four different ways to choose your perfect hue:

• HEX Code: Enter the HEX code to get your lights to emit the exact color you want.
• Color Wheel: Slide your finger around the color wheel to find the hue you love
• RGB Sliders: Adjust the RGB sliders to curate your perfect color.
• Color Palettes: Select a color from one of our palettes, or create and save your own.

Light Animations

With over 25 animations, you can customize your lights to dance in the light. That’s 10 new animations added onto the original Hub1 animation options: eyeball, fireworks, glitter, gradient wave, isofade, pyramid chase, smooth, starry, tremor, and wave.
Whether you prefer a subtle shimmer or a flashy display, you can create the perfect ambiance, adjust the speed, and add motion to make every night a celebration.

More Timers

Add convenience to your outdoor lighting by setting up to 64 timers per controller— a 540% increase compared to the Hub1! Whether you want your lights to follow a specific routine, complywith community regulations, or you want to set up all holiday lights for the year, you have flexible options to fit your needs.

• Calendar Day Timer: Select a pattern to be on at a specific calendar day and time.
• Sunset to Sunrise Timer: Have your lights automatically turn on and off at your local sunset and sunrise.
• Timed Timer: Select a specific time and days in the week for your lights to turn on and off.

Now Playing Tab

On the home page, you can now see the pattern currently playing on your Gemstone Lights and the most recent patterns you’ve used. This feature gives you immediate access to control your lights and makes it easier to change the lights on your building, adjusting features like the brightness and speed of an animation.

Brightness Control

Not all lighting needs to be at full intensity. With adjustable brightness settings, you can control the brightness of your lights from 0 to 100%. You can dim the lights for a warm, inviting glow or increase the brightness to enhance your space for visibility and security. This feature is perfect for architectural lighting, you can adjust the brightness of individual lights to balance the aesthetic that beautifully accents your home. Plus, the new ability to adjust the brightness directly on the home page in the “Now Playing” tab makes it easier than ever to set the perfect ambiance.

Shareable Patterns

If you ever want to share your favorite custom patterns with your friends and family, you can do it easily by sharing a link. This simple link lets them download and use your light creation. Whether it’s a holiday lighting pattern, birthday lighting, or your everyday lighting, sharing has never been easier.

Zone Control

Whether you’re illuminating your doorway for safety, or highlighting your side home pathway, zone control gives you the flexibility to create the ideal lighting for every part of your home.

This feature allows you to select sections of your home and customize them separately. You can have all entryways illuminated with a bright white light for security or a warm white light to bring an elegant glow to your patio. With just a few taps in the app, you can mix and match colors, animations, and brightness levels to create the perfect ambiance — anywhere from security lighting to holiday lighting.

Tech Savvy Updates: What’s New With Hub2?

Hub2 is the smartest lighting system available to date. The Hub2 includes a completely new software, control box, and app to control your lights and customize your residential lights, commercial lights, and landscape flood lights with many smart features, plus more to come.

Simplified and Secure Connection

No more accidentally connecting to your neighbor’s lights — each controller has a unique QR Code that must be scanned to connect to your lights. At the end of your installation, your installer will connect your phone and Wi-Fi to your Hub2 and set up an account on the Gemstone Lights app. Bluetooth connection is also available, though Wi-Fi is more secure.

After your installer connects your phone to your lights, they will walk you through controlling them. If you have questions or concerns about the lights, we have website tutorials and a support team to help you.

Cloud Sync

The Gemstone Lights App is a cloud-enabled system that gives you the ability to:

• Control your lights from anywhere in the world with a Wi-Fi connection.
• See what is currently playing on each system.
• Save all of your folders and patterns to your personal Hub2 account.
• Send your patterns to your friends and family through a link.

More Memory and Data Space

The Hub2 system has four data outputs, which means it can control four times as many lights as our Hub1. This helps streamline the installation process, providing more flexibility and seamless installations for large homes or commercial buildings, saving you money and time.

Increased Customer Support

If you ever want to learn more about the lights, find lighting inspiration, keep up to date with new Hub2 updates, read tutorials, or contact our support team, you can do it all within the Gemstone Lights app on the “Learn” page with a simple click.

What is the Hub2 Installation Process Like?

New Customers

A professional light installation is easy and simple. All you have to do is request a free quote where we’ll chat about your lighting needs and desires, put down a deposit, and we’ll handle the rest. With the Hub2, installations on large houses and commercial buildings will be more cost-efficient, simpler, and faster to install.

Existing Customers

If you currently have the Hub1 system installed, switching to the Hub2 is quick and simple. Simply call your authorized dealership, and they will come and quickly exchange the Hub1 with the Hub2 in your control box, connect your phone to the app and lights, and then give you a walk-through.

FAQ

Question: Can I still keep my Hub1?

Answer: Hub1 will still be supported for those who want to keep the Hub1 system, though there will no longer be updates to this system.

Question: How much does it cost to replace my Hub1?

Answer: The cost of replacing a Hub1 with a Hub2 is dependent on your authorized dealership. Feel free to contact your authorized dealership to learn about their pricing.

Question: Why can’t the music integration use songs directly from my phone?

Answer: Music integration cannot use songs directly from your phone due to Apple and Android permissions. These devices cannot play and record music simultaneously, so external music must be used for the Hub2 to listen to it and integrate it with the lights.

Question: Will there be more smart features?

Answer: Yes, the Hub2 will be continuously updated, and we’ll always be listening to customer feedback to integrate new features and improvements.
